Reply with quote | #1 | EGGS...2007. They tell me I often seem to write about characters who are out of the mainstream, and I guess it's true. Here are two more of them: an unhappy boy whose mother has died and a teenage girl who lives in a car. Hey, would you rather read about somebody ordinary and boring or somebody different?

Reply with quote | #2 | A teacher asked about resources for Eggs.
I don't know of any "resource" besides myself. There were no research materials as such. I made up the story out of my own history, observations and thoughts. It had been in my mind for decades to work an Easter egg hunt--such as the one I experienced in Elmwood Park in Norristown--into a story. And I simply love coupling two characters who don't seem to belong together and see what happens.
You might want to try the publisher Little, Brown to see if they have or are planning to have a reading guide.

Reply with quote | #3 | Dear Jerry, I am reading your book Eggs. I love all of your books and i read almost all the time. Usually its your books. Your books are all kind of like my life. Such as Star Girl and one of your newest books Smiles to Go. That book is heartwarming and very fun to read. I don't know anyone who hasn't said that your books are great.
Your reader, Daniel
